My name is Jasmine, and I am in my final semester at Western Governors University, working toward my teaching credential. For the past ten years, I have dedicated myself to education, working as a paraprofessional in a Special Day Class. Supporting children and helping them grow has brought me so much joy, and I am passionate about making a positive impact in their lives.

Balancing my studies with raising my son, who is in high school and active on the volleyball team, has been both rewarding and challenging. I work part-time to support us, but recently, my school added an extra class I must complete before student teaching. On top of tuition, there are state exams I need to take, each with its own fee. These unexpected costs have made it difficult to stay on track financially while continuing to support my son’s needs, including transportation and clothing for his activities.
