On Monday evening, Jasmine’s cherished kitty Cosmo became very sick. She monitored him overnight and took him to her vet on Tuesday morning. They did x-rays and found that he had eaten a foreign object that had caused a blockage and needed immediate emergency surgery to remove the foreign body.

She was referred to Dove Lewis and Cosmo underwent surgery for removal that same day. He was kept overnight at Dove for monitoring and she was able to pick him up on Wednesday morning. She brought him home to recover and kept a close eye on him. Foreign body surgery is very intense and not an easy rehabilitation process for a small animal.

On Thursday, she noticed some swelling around his sutures and the incision. She monitored this overnight and it was worse Friday morning. She took him back to her vet first thing, and they found that one of his sutures failed and the only option was to go in for a second surgery to try and correct this. He just got out of surgery and is stable and will come home this evening which is a huge relief.
