Hi, my name is Jasmine, and I am a junior at Emerald High School. I’ve wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember. Over the past few years, that dream has become more focused, and I’ve developed a strong interest in becoming an anesthesiologist.
This summer, I was accepted into UCLA’s OUTSET program, a competitive program for students interested in careers in medicine. The program takes place on UCLA’s campus for five days, where students stay in dorm-style housing and participate in workshops, hands-on learning, and mentorship from doctors and medical students. It offers a real look at what medical school and a future in medicine are like.
Getting into the OUTSET program required an application and interview, and being accepted was a big step for me as I work toward medical school and my goal of becoming a physician.
I’m raising money to help cover the cost of the OUTSET program, which includes tuition, on-campus housing, and meals. Any support, whether through donating or sharing, would help make this opportunity possible and allow me to focus fully on learning during the program.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for supporting my goals.
