Help Jasmine Attend Her Sophomore Year of College

UPDATE: Good morning everyone, if you haven’t seen I posted tuesday afternoon about my GoFundMe. Today is a new day and I am now on my way to campus to OFFICIALLY MOVE IN!!!!! I became financially cleared this morning and it is all thanks to all who shared and donatedI cannot thank you all enough, I appreciate you so much. The GoFundMe may say i’m still a little short but I gained outside donations which helped me reach it, I can not be more grateful. You all will be the reason as to why I am now able to start my sophomore year and I WILL graduate in 2026. Once I graduate I will make it my mission to give back to students who may be in the same situation like me, (I hope no one ever has to go through this but we all should always expect the unexpected). Hi everyone, i’m Jasmine a nursing major currently attending Hampton University. Starting August 28th, I will be starting my sophomore year at Hampton. However, I am now facing some financial troubles. I am supposed to move into my college this thursday (August 24th) and have traveled to school today to make sure that I would be financially set for this upcoming school year.
Unfortunately, I was told the bad news that I will not be able to move in unless a leftover balance is paid. The balance is $3,287. I had scholarships/grants and out of pocket money to give to the school but sadly it wasn’t enough. Over the summer I worked two jobs knowing that I wanted to have enough personal funds for myself for my second year at college but most of it was used to go to tuition and there was still a leftover. I was told today that this MUST be paid before friday at 5 p.m in order for me to successfully be financially cleared for this school year.
As some of you may know I only live with my single mother who doesn’t come from a wealthy background but we find a way to make ends meet. We are now at a crossroads and are struggling to find ways for me to clear this balance. So this is now me kindly seeking for help from anyone that knows us and understands the situation at hand.
I would love to finish college considering I would be the first to graduate from it in my family. I have high hopes to becomes a pediatric RN and I have set so many goals this year for myself to do just that! It would be unfortunate if finances were the reason why I can’t just do that
