Hi friends, my name is Jasmine Spence, and I'm a trans woman living in Sydney, Australia. I've been transitioning for nearly three years now, and I've come very far and am grateful I've had the opportunity to transition at all.

However, there are still aspects of my appearance that cause me a lot of gender dysphoria and inhibit my ability to move safely through the world. Therefore, I'm requesting assistance in paying for facial feminisation surgery (FFS) performed by a surgeon I trust, Dr Javier Rossi. Hopefully, these procedures would change how those around me perceive my gender and make it much less distressing to see myself and to be seen by others.

I've put off making this fundraiser for a long time, but I don't think I can wait much longer to get FFS and I certainly can't fund it alone. My fundraising goal covers the estimated cost of the surgery as well as travel/accommodation in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I plan to acquire financing through a loan agency, though the debt will put great stress on my finances for years to come. Thus I've decided to reach out for help to ease the burden.

Dysphoria is something I have to deal with every day of my life and it occupies space in my mind almost constantly. I still often get misgendered by strangers and colleagues, which generates a great deal of anxiety around existing in public places. It would be a massive relief to get these procedures done that I've needed for years, and feel able to move on with my life without fear and set new goals for myself.
