Help Jasmin cover her daughter’s medical bills

After her daughter’s suicide attempt last month, Jasmin wrote this moving piece  in the LA Times , bravely spelling out her family’s experience and the ensuing financial devastation. As many of us have experienced with our own children, the kind of mental healthcare that’s needed to heal young anxious and depressed people is most often not available through insurance. The system is totally broken, and with it the families whose children are suffering, self-harming and taking their own lives.
