Hello, amazing friends and supporters! We are Jas and Fam, a family-run culinary business that started in our home kitchen in Bowie, Maryland, on June 1, 2017. Inspired by the rich and authentic cooking of our beloved mother, we have poured our hearts into sharing her extraordinary flavors with our community.

My name is Marie Hinds-Kamara, and I’m proud to share that I come from Kingston, Jamaica. As a teacher and musician, I have always been mesmerized by my mother’s culinary talents. Her passion for cooking inspired us to honor her by naming our restaurant after her. At Jas and Fam, we believe that when love fills the kitchen, it creates flavors that bring people together.

For years, we have delighted our neighbors with lunch and dinner orders, catering for cookouts, potlucks, and holiday gatherings. The love and support from our customers have been our greatest motivation, driving us to create delicious meals that resonate with the heart and soul of Caribbean cuisine.

However, we now find ourselves in a challenging situation. Jas and Fam is at risk of going out of business, and we need your help to keep our dream alive. We are seeking to raise $10,000 to cover essential expenses and ensure that we can continue serving our community with the flavors we all love.
