On June 4th, a devastating fire completely destroyed the home of my cousin Jarryd Hunter and his 2-year-old son, Jack.

They lost everything — their home, car, work tools, cherished belongings, and most heartbreakingly, their sense of safety and stability.

Jarryd is incredibly generous and always the first to help others in need. He is a hard worker and a devoted father who has spent the past three years building a home for him and Jack.

Recently, Jarryd has been going through a difficult chapter in life, and amid everything, he was unaware that his home insurance had unfortunately lapsed by 6 weeks. This means that nothing lost in the fire — the house, the tools, or their belongings — will be covered. It’s a heartbreaking and overwhelming situation.

Jarryd and his family have already endured so much, and this disaster has added an unimaginable burden.

The family has been truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for Jarryd. So many people have reached out asking how they can help which is why we’ve created this GoFundMe, to provide a way for those who wish to support him and Jack during this time.

We are raising funds to help them begin to rebuild their lives and slowly begin the process of recovery.
