My name is Wendy, and I’m fundraising for my son, Jaron.

Jaron was diagnosed with diabetes at just 3 years old. He has spent his entire life managing this disease, doing everything he can to stay healthy and keep moving forward. Despite his hard work, diabetes has caused serious complications with his eyesight, and he is now at risk of losing his vision.

Jaron is a devoted husband and a loving father to his 7-year-old son. He works hard to support his family and has insurance, but the reality is that insurance doesn’t cover everything. The required copays for his eye treatments and surgery must be paid upfront, and they are more than he can afford.

In the past, Jaron had to take out a loan to save his left eye. Now, his doctors are urgently focused on protecting his right eye — his good eye — to prevent permanent vision loss. Time is critical, and delaying treatment could mean losing his sight altogether.

We are raising funds to help cover:

* Specialist visits and follow-up care

* Ongoing medical expenses related to his vision

As a mother, it’s incredibly painful to watch your child face something like this, especially knowing how hard he works and how much his family depends on him.
