Help Jaron Get Back on His Feet After a Serious Car Accident

Hey all. If you know me even remotely well, you're probably aware that asking for help is akin to pulling teeth for me, and not something I find very easy to do. With that said, given the severity of my current situation, I need to lean on the aid of community and friends this time to get back on my feet.

On Monday the 7th while driving up Lida pass on NV266, I had a deer run out in front of my new (to me) van while driving on sheet ice. I tapped my brakes without thinking, causing the car to roll onto the shoulder. Despite the severity of the crash, I fortunately walked away with nothing besides some lacerations on my head, a few scrapes on my fingers, and a black eye. Unfortunately, my vehicle was entirely totaled, and many of my belongings were damaged, splayed across the road. Car crashes already suck, but considering that the van was also set to be my housing for the rest of the calendar year and pretty much everything important that I own was inside, I've been left in a pretty stressful situation.

As it stands, I have some significant towing fees to get sorted as the crash happened in an incredibly remote part of Nevada, lots of scattered belongings to inventory/replace, and no housing for my spring work season as of now. I'm also currently somewhat-stranded 1000 miles from my home in Denver with all of my earthly possessions, which only compounds stress in this circumstance.

While it legitimately pains me to ask for financial help, I’m frankly heartbroken and I could really use some support to get back on my feet. I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such a loving and compassionate community, and

appreciate any help that my lovely friends and family can offer. Everything donated will go to helping navigate an immensely expensive tow, personal item replacements, and hopefully finding a new van that can provide housing of some sort.
