My name is Jarious Hogan, and I am a 17 year old student athlete from SF. I am honored to have been admitted this week to the Trinity Pawling School in NY to continue my education and football journey. As a longtime resident of the Fillmore district in SF, I never thought I would have the opportunity to attend such a prestigious institution so rich in history. The school is an all-boys college preparatory institution that emphasizes a rigorous academic program within a close-knit community, fostering character development and preparing students for college and beyond. By attending, I will be able to refine my academic background and resume and continue my goal of attending a four-year college and playing football at the next level.

With the help of my community support system including former coaches, teachers, and mentors, I have been fortunate enough to receive a large scholarship to make this all a reality. Unfortunately, despite the generous gift from the school, the cost of attending is approximately $6,500 more than the scholarship grant which is why I am reaching out to the community for help.

Given my family’s economic situation, I’m worried that without help, I will not be able to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that could put me on the path to college and to realizing my childhood dream of playing Division 1 football. With no safety net to fall back on, Im turning to my incredible community and chosen family to lend support as I take this monumental step forward.
