Help Jared Ward and His Family Through a Medical Crisis

Jared "J-Rod" Ward — loving husband, father, and master craftsman — was airlifted to Atrium Medical Center in Charlotte on the morning of March 21, battling severe RSV and pneumonia. He's been unconscious —intubated and sedated — in the ICU since. Medical professionals expect him to remain on life support for another 3-8 days, leaving his wife, Crystal, and their son and daughter facing mounting medical bills along with their day-to-day expenses.  

Jared was in between insurance plans when tragedy struck, leaving the family without coverage to shoulder the financial burden and the stress of keeping a household afloat.  

Jared is locally renowned as a master craftsman and carpenter under Chestnut Construction in Linville and Blue Mountain Carpentry in Vilas. If you've noticed the exterior elegance of Linville Golf Club and Resort, you've seen Jared's work. The lodge and nearby rustic homes stand as testaments to his artistry and skill.

He poured his heart into bringing beauty to his community. Now, it's time to give back.
