Hi, we are the Graduate Assistants of Florida State Men's Basketball Team. We are asking for your help with one of our graduate assistants who sadly has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. At 23, Jared Lynn is one of 9 Graduate Assistants here at Florida State and has been apart of the team since last year. Unfortunately, during our season he started to have hip pains and started limping around. He believed that he got hurt in one of our pickup games and was trying to walk it off and not pay it no mind. He would still come to work everyday even though we could see he was in pain everyday and wouldn't complain but continue to keep his head down and continue to work hard everyday. Luckily one day during a road game the team doctor noticed Jared limping and told him to come see him in his office to get checked out. If it wasn't for the team doctor noticing Jared's limp he wouldn't have found out about this devastating news that he had a cancer. when the team found we all came together in devastation and made prayer for one of our brothers. Getting cancer at a young age is a really tough thing to deal with and see one of your own get it makes it even harder. As a group of GA's we are saddened to see one of our soldiers and brothers come down with such an illness and just knowing the situation we all are in our lives trying to build a resume to help secure a job things are really hard for a graduate student who's not making any money and trying to cover medical bills this big. Jared is one of us, he's the true definition of a Florida State Seminole and he needs your help! Anything can help him and his family cover the cost of his medical bills and hopefully get him healthy enough to get back to finish Grad School and continue his career !
