hi, I’m Jare, a trans organizer and artist based in Buffalo!

I’m making this today because late on Saturday, 11/15, I got in a car accident driving back to my parents house in Maine, after taking photos for my friends’ Bugcatcher, on their fall tour. My car slipped backwards down a hill on the road, and I landed in a ditch sideways, damaging my vehicle, and leaving me unable to return to Buffalo on my own while insurance sorts everything out. While I’m physically unharmed, the entire thing has been scary, incredibly stressful, and financially draining all at once.

Any funds you contribute will assist me in getting out of rural Maine, to head back to Buffalo so I can get back to work at my job as an organizer for LGBTQIA+ youth. Any extra funds will go towards repairs for my old car, travel expenses to and from work in the interim, and/or towards a new (used) car if that’s the way the wind blows.
