Hello, my name is Jaquan Yates and I am currently enrolled at Illinois State University, majoring in graphic design and art. Drawing has always been my passion, and I love exploring new hobbies and seeking out new experiences every day. College has given me the chance to grow, not just as an artist, but as a person. For the first time, I’m living on my own, learning to be more outgoing, and finding my place in the world after being antisocial for much of my life.

I’m creating this GoFundMe because I am facing financial challenges that make it difficult to pay for my tuition. I have an urgent tuition balance due soon, and I need to pay it in order to register for my next semester classes. Not being able to afford school has been tough and makes me sad, especially since I’ve started to truly enjoy college and all the opportunities it brings.

Receiving support from this community would mean everything to me. It would allow me to continue my art journey, stay enrolled in college, and keep working toward my dream of graduating and inspiring others. I believe in helping people and supporting one another, and I hope to pay it forward in the future. Any help you can give will make a real difference in my life and help me keep moving forward.
