Help Janson and His Family Fight DIPG

There are moments in life you never imagine will happen to your family.

You see the stories of children fighting cancer on St. Jude commercials or hear about families facing the unimaginable, and your heart breaks for them. You pray for them. But you never truly understand what they are going through until one day, reality hits—and suddenly, you are that family.

Our precious grandson, Janson, has been diagnosed with DIPG, a devastating brain tumor. The news has turned our family’s world upside down.

Right now, Janson’s mom and dad are at Duke, spending every moment they can fighting for their little boy and praying for the miracle that every parent, grandparent, brother, sister, and loved one would pray for.

Surgery is not an option for Janson. Our hope now is in treatment possibilities, including a clinical trial—and above all, we are praying for a miracle.

While Janson’s parents are focused on being by his side and fighting this battle with him, they are unable to work. But life outside the hospital does not stop. They still have Riley and Waylynn to care for. There are household bills, medical expenses, travel costs, food, and all the everyday expenses that continue even while their entire world is centered around Janson.

That is why I am asking for help.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will help relieve some of the financial burden on Janson’s parents so they can focus on what matters most right now: being with their son, loving him, advocating for him, and fighting alongside him.
