Dear Family and Friends,

 

It is the new year and we wish to thank everyone for your loving care, generosity and kindness. It has meant the world to our family and touched us all deeply. Your messages and loving words of encouragement, hand made hats, rides to the hospital and checking in on has kept us all going!

 

This cancer journey has been a long hard road, longer than we had initially anticipated or hoped for. Mom's diagnosis is stage III, triple negative, metastatic breast cancer which has metastasized to her lymph nodes . After 16 rounds of chemo, 19 rounds of radiation and a surgery that removed 14 lymph nodes, 4 were found to be cancerous and continuing to grow and replicate, and for this reason further chemotherapy is necessary.

 

Two weeks ago she started a new type of chemotherapy drug that will take 18 weeks to complete, ending in May. This brings us to ask for help and support once again so that her focus can be on getting strong and healthy.

 

We appreciate everything people have and are continuing to do to support our family during this very hard, relentless and exhausting journey to overcome cancer. Fu@k Cancer!
