On April 20, 2026, my life changed forever. A fire destroyed my home and everything I owned in a matter of moments. While I am grateful to be safe, the loss has been overwhelming. I am still searching for my beloved cat, Leo, who has not returned since the fire. Three of my cats have made their way back, and I am holding onto hope that Leo will too. He is deeply loved and missed.

I am on social security and a fixed income, so starting over from nothing is daunting. The costs ahead - temporary housing, clothing, basic necessities, replacing essential items, and eventually finding a new place to call home - are more than I can manage alone.
