Help Janina Heal and Get Back on Her Feet

On March 21st, Janina underwent double knee surgery to remove synovial tissue and repair torn menisci. Just two weeks later, complications from the surgery led to a hematoma and infection in her right knee. Then, while still recovering, Janina suffered a new injury — a torn patellar tendon — requiring another open knee surgery on July 16th.

Her recovery is expected to take 6 to 9 months, with the first 6 weeks in a full brace and limited mobility. Due to the severity of her condition and the physical demands of her home (which has only stairs), she’s currently unable to return to Florida and must stay elsewhere to receive the care and support she needs.

Janina has been out of work since early April and is now facing mounting medical bills, physical therapy costs, and the ongoing expense of maintaining her home so she has a place to return to when she’s finally able.
