My name is Janiffer, and I am reaching out for help as I face a difficult journey with cancer. In December 2024, I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and my life changed overnight. I went through months of intense treatment and finished in May 2025, hoping to move forward. Unfortunately, in January 2026, I learned that my cancer had relapsed, and now I am preparing for a stem cell transplant.
This next phase means I will be in the hospital for 4-6 weeks, followed by a relocation to Charlottesville for three months to be close to the medical team. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. I am struggling to keep up with bills, pay for food and gas, and cover the costs of living away from home. Every bit of support will help me focus on my health and recovery, rather than worrying about how to make ends meet.
Your support means so much to me during this difficult time. If you are able to help or share my story, I would be deeply grateful. Thank you for being part of my journey and for any kindness you can offer.
