Help Janie's Family Through This Difficult Time
Donation protected
Hi, I'm a lifelong friend of Juanita (Janie) Flores Zamarripa, and as most have heard by now... we lost our sweet, loving, kind Janie on Wednesday, 9/4/24. Janie was one of the sweetest, most loving, thoughtful people I know, and she always had a smile as bright as the sun. She was always praying for, and concerned for others, even in the midst of her own struggles.
About June 2023, Janie suffered an aneurysm and stroke, with a long stay in ICU, some setbacks, more hospitalizations, but she's a big fighter in a tiny body. She was a walking miracle and making improvements. In March 2024, Janie was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. She met that struggle head-on with positivity; we were all positive she'd pull through it. After chemo and other treatments and all that goes with that, the doctor confirmed that the cancer was gone from her organs. But Janie was still having pain, and the cancer still showed in the bones. She continued to fight, but at the end of August 2024, she ended up back in the hospital with complications. While in the hospital, doctors did a bone marrow biopsy and confirmed the cancer was too far gone. No more treatments, and hospice was set up. We still expected and hoped she would have longer with us. If you know Janie, she's a tiny lady and had got down to 102. While in the hospital, she gained back some weight... but her little body was just tired.
So, through all of these setbacks, hospitalizations, and treatment, loss of work, and hard financial strains, Janie's family needs some help with medical bills, regular monthly bills, and now funeral costs. We all know how stressful, worrisome, and hard that can be. And we all are struggling some right now. But if you feel led to help Janie's family out, please do. I just put a number out there to go for which would cover funeral costs, but not much else. Please contribute if you can, and it doesn't matter how small or big, it will all help.
All funds go straight to the family.
