Help Janie Chavarria Through Her Cancer Journey

Hi there! My name is Angela and I am starting this GoFundMe for my mom, Janie Chavarria. My mom is 59 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 3c ovarian cancer about 4 months ago (which is pretty much a Stage 4 diagnosis).

This diagnosis came as a huge surprise as my mom is very attentive to her health and takes really good care of herself. She has completed 3 rounds of chemo in the hopes that her tumor would shrink before surgery; however, it only got bigger.

She now faces surgery on 11/20/24 and is looking at 6 more rounds of chemo in hopes that this will be the end of this hard battle.

We are reaching out for financial assistance, which was not an easy decision, but it is a necessary one. We are asking for donations to contribute to her chemo treatments, oncology costs, and so that she can at least take a month off work to give her body the break it needs.

Everyone knows that my mom is a HARDWORKING full-time nurse that doesn't ever miss a day of work. My mom is the light of our family and has a heart of gold. She is always willing to help any and everyone, and this is the moment that she is humbly asking for help back.
