JANIA JUST FOUND OUT that it's $1600 PER EYE (rather than $1600 for both). So, I've re-started the campaign in hopes that there are a few more generous souls out there who can spare a few dollars to help Jania out ... XXXXX
My friend Jania Wagner is 82 years old and needs surgery to remove cataracts that are clouding her vision. Without the surgery, Jania will go blind soon. However, Jania has Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), so laser surgery is the least invasive/most tolerable method that her ophthalmologist can use to help save her eyesight.

Although Medicaid/care and Part A insurance DO cover cataract surgery costs, they will not pay for the laser surgery. That essential part has to be paid "out of pocket." It's more than Jania can afford, unfortunately.
The surgery is scheduled for mid-February and end of February (one session per eye). Jania only learned today that the laser surgery is not covered by her insurance, so she agreed to give crowdsourcing a try!
If you can spare $10 or $20 to help her out, it will help save Jania's sight.
Thanks for your consideration.
Judith
