Janet has been the heart and soul of our family, caring for my dad through his years-long battle with cancer. She’s always put his needs first, making sure he gets to every appointment and has everything he needs, even when times were tough. Now, Janet is facing her own crisis. She was recently in a serious car accident that left her with a broken femur, turning her into a trauma patient overnight. Their only vehicle was totaled in the wreck, and with only liability insurance, there’s no way to replace it.

Both Janet and my dad are on disability and live paycheck to paycheck. They rely on the food bank to get by, and this accident has made their situation even more overwhelming.
