My name is Janet Lee, and I’m a 59-year-old author and creator. I published my first book in 2018 and started making handmade items in 2023, following my lifelong love of art. Creating things truly makes me happy, and I’ve poured my heart into building my small business. I started with an Etsy shop in 2024 and recently switched to a Fourthwall shop, where I offer a variety of products, especially resin pieces like jewelry, keychains, trinket jars, and dragon items.

I am making a change. For the time being, I will be focusing on building a dedicated jewelry line as I prepare to launch Evermere Jewelry on Etsy. My other products will remain in my Fourthwall store, and once Evermere Jewelry is established, I will return to expanding those as well.

This next part is the most important reason I’m working so hard to grow this business. I am currently disabled and receive SSDI. While I’m grateful for that support, my goal is to build my small business to a point where I can support myself and eventually come off SSDI. That independence means everything to me.

Right now, the biggest thing holding me back isn’t ideas or motivation—it’s the cost of supplies. I have so many plans for Evermere Jewelry and my Fourthwall store, but I simply can’t afford to purchase everything I need to bring those ideas to life.

At this time, I’ve ordered the last supplies I’m able to afford on my own until at least June. That means progress will slow unless I’m able to get some help.

I’m raising money to purchase essential jewelry-making supplies like chain, wire, tools, and findings, along with packaging materials such as boxes, labels, inserts, packing tape, and eventually a thermal printer, business cards, and stickers. These are all necessary to grow my business, expand my product line, and continue offering affordable, high-quality handmade items.

I’ve also added an Amazon wishlist that includes items specifically for jewelry creation. If you’d like to see exactly what I’m planning and what tools and materials I need, you’re welcome to take a look there as well.

Running a small business is incredibly rewarding, but it’s also challenging when funds are limited. I want to keep my prices accessible while still growing, improving, and creating pieces that people truly love.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. If you’re able to donate, I am beyond grateful. If not, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to me.

Creating is my happy place, and building this business is my path toward independence. With your help, I can continue growing Evermere Jewelry and my Fourthwall shop—and turn this dream into something sustainable.
