Help Janet Distel as she has a Kidney Transplant

Janet is a warrior.

 

Hi, my name is Janet Boynes, a friend of Janet Distel. Tim and Janet Distel have been facing some challenges and they desperately need your help.

 

Janet has faced AND overcome many obstacles throughout her life. Her steadfast faith in God along with the love of family, friends and her church have been the pillars she has held on to.

 

For over 40 years, along with me, she has served others in a multitude of volunteer positions. Just a few examples are teaching Sunday School to mentally handicapped children, ministering to couples who are going through marital challenges, praying, and counseling parents who have children struggling with personal issues and leading ministry teams at their local church.

 

Janet is now facing a kidney transplant at Mayo Clinic. Originally, the procedure was set for the end of September, but it became an emergency, so the wonderful doctors, nurses and surgeons have moved mountains and God has given us favor, to make it happen right away.

 

Not only that, there sister-in-law, Theresa Distel, is a match to be the donor! She and her husband Dean (Tim’s brother) have flown in from Ohio at a moment’s notice to help make it happen. How can you say ‘thank you’ for a gift like that??

 

The kidney challenges have been an ongoing situation that caused quite a few weeks of lost income this year for the Distel family. (About 8 to 10 weeks).

 

In addition, even with very good insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses over the last 18 months total over $10,000 at this point.

 

They want everyone to know that God has always taken care of them throughout their 39 years of married life and are confident that this will be no different.
