My name is Elriane Eugene, and I am humbly asking for prayers and support for my daughter, Janelle Hannah Saintilmond, who is 9 years old.
Janelle Hannah was born with complex congenital heart conditions, including Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (TAPVR). Since birth, she has endured multiple surgeries and complications, yet she has remained strong, loving, full of joy and a light in our lives.
Recently, Janelle Hannah’s condition worsened due to failing Fontan physiology. She has been listed for a heart transplant and has been receiving continuous medication to support her heart while we wait and trust in God’s timing.
Just days ago, Janelle Hannah became very ill with fevers, chills, and weakness. She was taken to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with endocarditis—a serious and life-threatening infection of the heart caused by bacteria entering the bloodstream and attaching to her already fragile heart. Her condition worsened to septic shock, requiring emergency life-saving support, including medications for her heart and blood pressure and a breathing machine.
In the midst of this fight, Janelle Hannah suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, requiring a drain to relieve pressure on her brain. She is now also battling ongoing seizures that doctors are working tirelessly to control.
Right now, Janelle Hannah is in critical condition in the ICU, and we are standing on faith, believing that God is with her in this battle.
The Bible reminds us in Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” We are holding onto His promises, trusting that He sees Janelle Hannah, He loves her, and He is in control even in this storm.
My family and I are asking for your prayers above all—for healing, for strength, and for peace over Janelle Hannah and our family. If you feel led to give, any financial support will help with overwhelming medical expenses, future transplant needs, and allowing us to remain by her side during this critical time.
If you are unable to give, please consider sharing Janelle Hannah’s story and lifting her up in prayers.
Thank you for standing with us, believing with us, and trusting God alongside us.
With love, faith, and gratitude,
Elriane Eugene
