Hello, my name is Janelle, and I am reaching out for your support to help me complete my PhD in Human Services. I have dedicated my life to uplifting at-risk youth, supporting struggling families, and helping homeless veterans secure permanent housing. Now, as I near the final stretch of my PhD program—while also pursuing an MPhil—I have ran into funding challenges that threaten to halt my progress.
Why This Matters?
Growing up in an underserved community, I experienced firsthand the challenges of poverty, limited resources, and systemic barriers. My journey hasn’t been easy—I faced struggles in school, battled depression, and had to find my own path to success. Despite these challenges, I worked hard, earning my master’s degree with a 3.9 GPA, and excelling in my PhD program with a 3.8+ GPA.
I have dedicated my career to serving others—mentoring youth, providing social services, and ensuring veterans have access to stable housing. Education has been my foundation, allowing me to advocate for real change, develop impactful programs, and empower individuals who face the same challenges I once did.
How You Can Help
Unfortunately, I have exhausted my funding and explored other options with the Department of Education, Scholarships, and loans, and without financial support, I risk being forced to pause or stop my program. I have come too far to give up now. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward tuition, books, and essential academic expenses so I can continue my research, complete my dissertation, and give back to the community that shaped me.
Your Support Makes a Difference
Your generosity will not only help me achieve my dream of earning a PhD, but it will also allow me to continue advocating for at-risk populations, ensuring that youth, families, and veterans have the support they need. Together, we can create a lasting impact.
Thank you so much for all of your help!
