My name is Janeen Jason, and I'm a Certified Sommelier working in Inman Park, Atlanta. I've been selling wine for 10 years but come from 15 previous years of restaurant experience. I also serve as a blind tasting mentor to many blossoming sommeliers in the city. As I enter my 42nd year on this earth, I've embarked on a new journey in my wine education: The Wine Scholar Guild's inaugural year of Tasting Diploma!

As a neighborhood wine dealer, my job is to suggest wines that fit the guests' needs for the moment or for a moment. Wine dinners, corporate lunches, casual porch hangouts, I've seen it all. But the most important thing that I do is empower guests to feel confident in the wine choices they make when I'm not around. That's why the Tasting Diploma is so important to the continuation of that human factor. Learning more about the palate will allow me to translate the needs of my guests, help them understand what they are tasting, and suggest new styles of wine that could fit their flavor profile.
