Hi- my name is Jane. I'm a young intersex woman in the Twin Cities.
Thanks to y'alls support- we are only 64% away from our goal!
The gist is- the private room I was renting has fallen apart. The landlord is selling the house, and my other housemates have moved out. The landlord has recommended I try to move out within the next month or so. I also have a legal case coming up, and I need help making some expenses. If I have to stay in this room for another month, I need help buying a hot spot to maintain internet access- which is vital to me, as I navigate specialty medical care, and begin re-applying for colleges. I also had an eye exam, and need an updated prescription, and some specialty eyedrops (I have a bacterial infection in my eyes), and while insurance will cover most of it, there's a gap. My prescription is almost a decade old and is causing me migraines.
I've increased my goal by $597 (so $1,000 total)- that encompasses a $300 security deposit for a new room, replacing my glasses, the eyedrops, my $67 phone bill, $50 for a phone hot-spot, since it's very possible I'll have to resort to that, $80 hair trim, to ease my degenerative disc disease in my neck and migraines, and $100 for miscellaneous legal fees. I don't expect to reach this amount, but if I did, I'd be set to not only cover all that, but have a few months of guaranteed housing on top of that! I should get movement on SSI soon, and I have a SMRT review end of the month, so all that is extremely promising. Any extra would go to getting my laptop or phone repaired, or thrifting new clothes.
Jane
