Joni and Ken Invite You to Help Jane After Sudden Loss

On the evening of April 26, Jonathan Rodriguez, Jane’s beloved husband, suddenly collapsed from probable heart failure. His unexpected death is a shock and great sadness to us all, but Jane and her young adult children, Jana, Jodie, and Jason, have been hit the hardest. The family lives together in the same small apartment and now must slowly rebuild their lives without their precious husband and dad. How will they manage the rent, utilities, food, and more? Without Jonathan’s contribution to the family income, Jane and the children will struggle to make ends meet. They will need help to reach their 'new normal'.

I have known Jane Rodriguez closely for more than 6 years, and oh, what a treasured sister-in-Christ she is! Jane has served faithfully as my overnight caregiver 3 times a week for those 6 years. Often, she has surprised Ken and me with her famous Chicken Noodle Soup (Filipino version), her pasta dishes, and treats from Porto’s. Jane and her family are industrious, thrifty, faithful, and filled with kindness. That goes for Jonathan, too.
