Hi, my names Anita and I am wanting to fundraise for my close friend Jane.

After losing her Dad to cancer, she used her inheritance to secure her future and purchased her first property.

After one month of moving in, her apartment flooded due to a massive leak in her ceiling. The building inspection was passed, as there would have been no way to tell that the above apartments had structural issues on their balcony (plus the wet weather hadn’t arrived yet). There was no disclosure by the previous owner or agent, that the same issue happened in 2023. With no help from the strata company due to their lack of funds and unable to use their insurance, she is left with mould, holes in her ceiling and no way to fix it.

Jane lost her job due to having to be at home to control and prevent the flooding. She is breathing in mould, with most of her possessions and carpet lost due to this.

After seeking legal advice and clauses in contracts, she has met road blocks.

I am hoping that we can use this money to fix the ceiling and contribute her share to the repair of what will be ongoing problem if left.
