Dear compassionate community,

I come to you with a heavy heart and a plea for support. The recent devastating floods in Bray Park have not only left my beloved parents, Jane and Georges Auclair, homeless but have also shattered their entire world in a single night.

My father, Georges, is bravely battling leukemia, making him incredibly vulnerable to any exposure to flood waters. As a result, he cannot be near the impacted areas to assist in any way. My parents are now displaced and struggling to find a sense of stability amidst this chaos.

The road to recovery is daunting, with repair estimates stretching up to 18 months. While their insurance covers the structural damage to their home and replacement of their possessions as best it can, it provides little assistance when it comes to clean out, accommodation and storage for what little remains of their possessions.

To compound matters, my grandmother who was previously independent, recently suffered a knee injury, requiring ongoing rehabilitation. The burden on our family is immense, both emotionally and financially.
