Help Jana's Family Survive and Rebuild

Donation protected
From the beneficiary: I'm Jana, I'm 15 years old, a child in a family of 6 members.

I am a Palestinian girl from Gaza and a student and I have the talent of drawing. The war came and ended all my ambitions and dreams, me and my brothers. My father lost his job, which was the source of our income. My father is chronically sick (diabetes and blood pressure) and has a heart problem. He also developed a hernia last year that remains untreated.

After the displacement of more than a year and a half in the tents, we returned to our residential area in northern Gaza. The war returned again and our situation became bad and more difficult than before.

Now we suffer from fear, anxiety, constant and heavy bombing, and famine is killing us.

About my family
My father is a dermatologist who suffers from a heart problem and a chronic disease (diabetes and pressure), 51 years old, born in 1974. My mother studied as a psychological counselor who suffered a lot in the war, she suffered from neck and anemia, she was 41 years old, born in 1984. My big brother Saleh: A guidance student in high school needs a lot of private lessons for lack of schools, and this is expensive and expensive here, he needs a lot of money to meet his daily needs, 18 years old, born in 2007. My sister Safaa and my younger brother Youssef are: Safaa 16 years old born in 2009. And Youssef, 11 years old, born in 2014.

I hope you help me and my family so that we can provide our needs of food, drink and travel if possible (the crossing has been closed for about 3 months since the beginning of the famine) in this war we suffered a lot and saw death with our eyes. I hope you help us by donating. Every donation from you will give us hope in life. And thank you ☺️

From the organizer: My name is Margaret "Maggie" Greene. I live near Seattle, Washington, and I am raising funds for Jana, a young artist in Palestine. I first encountered Jana’s artwork on Instagram in October 2023, while searching for art by young artists in Palestine to feature and amplify on my social channels as a gesture of solidarity and outrage against the genocide. Jana’s sketch artistry is beautiful and shows much promise and potential. It is devastating to think she may not live to grow her talents and skills, as art has the power to heal and change the world for the better.

What will happen with your contributions?
The creator of this fundraiser, Maggie Greene, will collect funds on Jana’s behalf in her private U.S. bank account. Each time the donation balance reaches $2,000USD, Maggie will initiate a direct international wire transfer (less a $50USD fee required by the bank to process the wire transfer) to release funds from her account into Jana’s mother’s bank account in Palestine.

Maggie will do this until the total fundraising goal ($60,000) is reached.

How will these funds be used?
Donations will be used to meet basic needs for Jana and her family. Specifically, your donations will help to provide food and water for Jana, her two parents, and her 3 young siblings, as well as life-saving medications for her father, for whom many of the commercial medications are not available to them.

Jana's family's immediate priority is survival. They are actively trying to rebuild their life in Gaza. Jana and her family returned to their home in Gaza at the beginning of 2025, only to find it in shambles and the surrounding community completely destroyed.

Sadly, for them to rebuild their life in Gaza, it is going to take more financial resources and support. Her father is unable to work due to persistent medical issues, which leaves Jana and her family without any income other than donations.

Please support as much as you can, with the fervent hope that Jana and her family will survive this ongoing terror.
