Hi everyone! My name is Janae Trotman, and I’m a junior animal science student at Tuskegee University with a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. Since I was four years old, I’ve wanted to dedicate my life to helping animals, and I’m working hard to turn that dream into reality.

I recently received an incredible opportunity to participate in a study abroad internship with UC Davis—well-known for the country's #1 veterinary school! This program will take me to Australia, where I’ll gain hands-on experience working with animals in a completely different environment. From learning about unique wildlife to exploring international veterinary practices, this opportunity will help shape me into a well-rounded, knowledgeable veterinarian.

However, I need help getting there. The cost of travel, accommodations, and program fees total $5,000, and as a full-time student, I can’t cover this alone. I’m doing everything I can to save, but I need support from my community to make this happen.
