My name is Jan Hite King. I love to volunteer and be a good steward of the community. I was asked to run for office by lots of people who wanted change. In 2022, I did that. We couldn’t get a copy of the new maps, so we looked at the WVSOS website to guide us on how to fill out our campaign paperwork. That is how this began. Even though I have tons of videos and paperwork proving we did nothing wrong, two years after the statute of limitations ran out, our case was shipped to three different prosecutors in three different counties. We were indicted by a grand jury FOR MISDEMEANORS! Every single judge in my county was recused from our case. We had a Wayne County judge, Mason County prosecutor in a Cabell County courtroom. The judge agreed and dismissed our case. There is a 30-day appeal; they filed nothing within the 30 days. Four days after the window closed, they filed a writ of prohibition to the Supreme Court. This is against us and the judge. THEY ARE TAKING A MISDEMEANOR CASE TO THE SUPREME COURT! Something I have proof we did not do! Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a misdemeanor. If we lose this case, we go back to criminal court all over. Just the Supreme Court argument will cost $25,000. I am asking for any donation to help with my legal fees now and in the future.

You may ask why I didn’t just plead guilty and pay the fine… Well, I always told my kids to never admit to doing something you didn’t do. They’ve had proof from the beginning, I’ve had proof from the beginning. I’m begging for help! A dollar or 5 will help!
