Help Jan and Emily Through This Tough Time

On November 21st, my son-in-law, Jan, was involved in a serious bicycle accident, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. After being transferred to a trauma center, he underwent an emergency craniotomy to repair a brain bleed and fractured skull. Jan is now recovering at home, but he will be unable to work for an extended period of time. My daughter has taken a leave of absence from her job to care for him, as he cannot be left alone. Jan has suffered two seizures and is currently on anti-seizure medication, requiring constant supervision.

Jan is the kind of person who makes an impact on everyone he meets—his kindness, generosity, and dedication to his family are clear to anyone who knows him. He has always been there for Emily through thick and thin, and now, they are in a difficult place as they focus on his recovery. While we are incredibly grateful that he is making progress, the financial strain is overwhelming as they struggle to cover everyday expenses.
