We believe that JAMS is a community that values looking out for each other and providing support in times of need.
Five months ago, one of our JAMS students, Yaseen Oumanchar, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer that affected his knee. Yaseen –a 12 years boy and passionate soccer player– went through surgery and he is being treated with chemotherapy at the moment.
His parents and sisters (also SMMUSD students) are doing all they can to overcome this difficult not only mentally and emotionally, but also financially situation. However, the medical expenses are very high and the insurance does not cover it completely.
On behalf of Yaseen's family, we reach out to ask for your financial support. All funds raised will be used to pay the medical expenses.
