My dad Jerry Darnell (you may know him by his DJ name Jammin Jerry) is having a quadruple bypass surgery on his heart and I am trying to raise money to help with expenses. He is currently hospitalized pending surgery (hopefully 1/6/22, though it has been cancelled and rescheduled 3 times). He will also be laid up for sometime after surgery and will need help with the financial burden this will cause.

Back in October my wife and I attended a benefit dinner where we both acquired Covid, I never fully recovered from it and was struggling with shortness of breath, and fatigued all the time, my boss called me Wednesday morning on 12/22 to come to his office, he told me that he seen me moving some boxes and that I was really struggling and having a hard time breathing, he said something was not right with me and that I should get it checked out. So I called my wife and told her I was gonna work till 1:30 then go to Med Express and get a oxygen test, another Covid test and a flu test, after sleeping in my truck for an hour or so I got called to come in, then the nurse was listening to my heart, she looks at me and says my heart is out of rhythm and she’s gonna call an ambulance to take me to the ER, well I was floored, had no idea what was happening, I said no to the ambulance and had to sign papers to drive myself there. My heart was out of Rhythm, Afib, and they needed to do a heart cath, after the heart cath they said my heart was only pumping 20% blood, and had blockage all the way around it and was weak, I was going to need a Quadruple bypass, but first I had to get an MRI done to see if my heart could handle it, it turns out it’s good enough to have it done. I never dreamed that when I left my house that morning for work that I wouldn’t return for 2 or 3 weeks, totally miss Xmas and then be laid up for 2 or 3 months, most of the time I don’t listen to my boss, I’m really glad that I did this time.
