Help Family Get Caught Up Before Eviction

My name is Jami, and I’m reaching out for help as my family faces a difficult time. After my dad passed away in 2018, I became the sole provider for my 75-year-old mom, while also being a single mom to a teenage son. Recently, I had to leave a toxic job and take a pay cut, which has made it impossible to keep up with our rent and utilities. We are now at risk of eviction, and I’m doing everything I can to keep a roof over our heads.

On top of these challenges, I recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my dog down due to cancer. The cost of her treatment and care further depleted my finances, making it even harder to cover our basic needs. We haven’t even been able to bury my dad in MI yet because I simply can’t afford to fly us all there and pay for the service.

My son is actively looking for work to help out, but so far he hasn’t been able to find a job. My mom is unable to work due to her age and health. I’ve applied for state support, but haven’t had any luck getting assistance yet.
