Supporting My Mom’s Recovery

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with something very personal that I never imagined I’d be sharing. on August 19th, my mom underwent surgery that had major, unexpected complications. She has been in the ICU fighting to recover, and while we hold onto hope each day, she still has a long road ahead.

My dad immediately came home from tour to be with her, and he has put work completely on hold. At the same time, my mom has just lost her job of nearly ten years. With both of them unable to work, the weight of the mortgage, bills, and now overwhelming medical costs is something I want to help lift off their shoulders — even a little — so my dad can stay focused on being by her side.

My parents are extremely private people, and I am sharing this on their behalf. I kindly ask that you respect their privacy and allow them to focus entirely on my mom’s healing. Please, if you have any questions, direct them to me — their daughter, Jamie — and not to my parents.

They have spent their lives helping others without ever asking for anything in return. Now, in their hardest season yet, I am humbly hoping that same kindness can be extended back to them. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or simply keeping them in your thoughts and prayers — it all means more than I can put into words.
