Supporting Jamiel’s Family in His Memory

Donation protected
With heavy hearts, we want to share that Jamiel passed away on August 20. We are deeply grateful for the love, support, and prayers you’ve shown during this difficult time. Please continue to keep Christina and the kids in your thoughts as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

***UPDATE as of 5/31***
Jamiel has been in and out of the ICU and has now been in the hospital for over a month. His condition remains extremely serious, and the cancer he’s battling continues to be very aggressive. The most urgent concern at this time is his ability to breathe on his own.

Christina and the kids have been making the difficult trip back and forth from Puyallup to UW Medical Center, trying to be by his side as much as possible. Jamiel is continuing to fight with everything he has, and right now, we are praying for nothing short of a miracle.

The emotional and financial toll on the family is immense. Neither Christina nor Jamiel has been able to work for some time, and the burden of medical costs, travel, and daily life is becoming overwhelming.

We’re so grateful for the support already shown, and we ask for continued prayers, love, and any support you’re able to give. Every donation truly makes a difference.

Thank you for standing with this family in such a difficult time.

Update on Jamiel’s Diagnosis

We wanted to share an update on Jamiel. He has been diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC), a very rare form of kidney cancer. Doctors have given him a 12-month prognosis.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support so far. Your donations, messages, and shares have meant so much. Please continue to keep Jamiel in your prayers and help spread the word as we rally around him during this time.

Thank you for standing with him.

***UPDATE***
We’re so grateful to share that Jamiel’s surgery was a success! His amazing surgical team was able to stabilize his spine with four screws, and he’s now in recovery. There is still a very small amount of tumor remaining in his spinal cord, but the doctors are hopeful and have a solid plan in place.

Jamiel will begin radiation in the coming weeks, once he’s had time to heal from the surgery. We are still awaiting the final pathology results, which will help guide the next steps in his treatment.

We can’t thank you enough for the continued love, support, and generous donations. Your prayers mean the world to us—please keep them coming as Jamiel continues this fight.

Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out with urgent support for Jamiel, a loving husband to Christina and a devoted father to Emmitt, 10, and Caleigh, 9. As the primary provider for his family, Jamiel has always been their foundation, but he now faces an unexpected and severe medical challenge.

Jamiel was recently rushed into emergency surgery after doctors discovered a mass in his spinal cord. During this diagnosis, they also found multiple additional masses in various parts of his body, including his kidney. The medical team is conducting further tests to determine the nature of these masses, with cancer as a possible diagnosis. The recovery path ahead is anticipated to be long and intensive.

This past year and a half has already brought significant grief to the family with the sudden loss of Christina’s mother. Despite previous hardships, this new crisis has hit particularly hard, and they now find themselves grappling with mounting medical costs and ongoing uncertainty.

In light of these challenges, we are aiming to raise $50,000 to help cover Jamiel's mounting medical expenses, ensure the family can maintain their living expenses during his recovery, and prepare for the potential long-term treatment ahead.

We ask for your support through donations, which will be crucial in helping Jamiel and his family navigate this difficult time. No contribution is too small, and all help is deeply appreciated. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others and keeping Jamiel and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this critical time.
