Help Jamie's House Fire Relief

On the morning of Saturday, February 15th at around 8am, Jamie was getting ready for work when her 7 year-old son Jaxson came to her saying he smelled something weird. Jamie’s partner Chris (Jaxson’s Father) went outside to investigate, to find a fire burning in the insulation under their home. He tried repeatedly to extinguish the flames to no avail. He then went inside to get his family out of the house, while calling 911. Unfortunately, the fire department was unable to save the home. It was a complete loss. Thankfully Jamie, Chris, and Jaxson made it out safely, without any injury. The family pet cat (Kitty) and Jaxson’s pet turtle were both lost in the fire, along with all family heirlooms, belongings, and clothing.

To make matters worse, Jamie’s insurance on her home had recently lapsed, and she was working toward reinstating coverage at the time of the fire. She will now be responsible for paying off the remainder of her home (around $12,000 owed) as well as starting completely fresh with nothing but her family, her vehicle, and support of Family and Friends.

We are asking for donations to help cover costs in any way possible. Jamie received a donation from her work immediately so that she could go out and buy clothes for her family, as well as other things necessary immediately such as toiletries and food. Jamie and her Family are able to stay with a relative for a short period of time while we attempt to help her and her family find a new home.

We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of finding a new home for Jamie, Chris, and Jaxson, as well as getting everyday home necessities. We also ask that you share their story so that we can reach as much help as possible. It will be years before Jamie’s family is able to recover from the tragedy but with your help and generosity we can do our best to make it easier for them.
