Help support Jamie Valentino's final wishes
Donation protected

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Jamie Valentino #8774. Our union sister, one of the first women hired as a longshoreman joining local 10, then local 34, and who helped pave the way for other women to join the industry, died on Wednesday April 28 at her home. She will be deeply missed.
Please help me in honoring her memory by supporting her daughter, Jamie Pinkie Valentino #101101, in paying for her Mother’s cremation. The cost of the cremation is $1,400.
All donations, given previous to her Mom’s passing, have been exhausted on her home care needs. This is why I am asking for your support in reaching the goal of $2,575. We had raised $1,175 for her home care, and we now need an additional $1,400 for cremation.
Any amount will be appreciated and be of great help. With any death in one’s family, it is overwhelming, and heartbreaking, and it is most likely something we are not all prepared for. My hope is if we all band together to help, the burden will lessen. Show Jamie Pinkie Valentino, that she is not alone, and that there are family and friends that care.
I’m asking for prayers for her, her girls, and their family.
Stay safe and blessed.
