Horrible Car Accident!

On July 28, 2025, Jamie T.’s life was turned upside down when she was involved in a horrific car accident. A driver ran a red light and hit her. To make matters worse, the driver had no insurance, leaving her with a totaled car and her car insurance did not cover all of the damages. This tragedy struck at one of the worst possible times. Just one week before the accident, Jamie T. had been laid off among many others from her job, and her health insurance ended 5 days before the accident. On top of that, the accident caused her to lose a front tooth and created severe pain and infection, adding to both her pain and financial strain.

To make matters worse, Jamie T.’s leg that was torn open in the accident is now struggling to heal due to an autoimmune disease. The slow healing has not only left her in pain, but has also made it impossible for her to return to work. She lives with the constant fear of sepsis while making long 3.5-hour trips to see specialists. Because her car was totaled in the accident, she has to rent a vehicle just to make these medical appointments.

Her children have done everything they can to help support her, but they too are struggling to keep up with the mounting costs. She still owes $5,000 on her vehicle loan, making it difficult to buy a new car, while also facing medical bills, utility payments, and basic living expenses. And all of this is due to a 23 year old uninsured kid. None of this is her fault.

We are setting an ambitious goal of $40,000 to help Jamie T. get back on her feet. This support will go toward:

Buying a cash car

Covering medical and dental expenses

Travel and rental costs for medical appointments

Catching up on utilities and household bills

Providing a cushion of stability so she can focus on healing and rebuilding her life
