In October 2020, Jamie had a catastrophic brain hemorrhage. Her chance of ever speaking again was close to zero, and for nearly three months, this seemed true. Till one day in mid December '20 she said "Yeah." Since then she has gone through many different therapies, both at home speech therapy at the start of the year, and more recently outpatient therapy at Craig Hospital in Englewood Colorado.
It is here at Craig she has found her voice again, and it is amazing. So amazing that she wishes to continue in an advanced program, one that is more intense. This being America, it is also completely not covered by insurance. In January she will spend 7 hours a day, 5 days a week at the Hospital doing nothing but speech therapy. It will include music, computers, one on one conversation, and group chat.
This is our first time asking for monetary help with Jamie's recovery, but the cost is a substantial eleven-thousand dollars for this one month of therapy. We are asking for any help this time, as we are also covering many other parts of her therapy and updating of the house to make it more livable for her. We are blessed with having the best stroke recovery program only a few miles from home, and I thank you for any help you give in allowing her to continue receiving this incredible care.
Thank you so much,
Jamie & Christina Morris
