Hi, My name is Chrissy, and I am fundraising for my very good friend, Jamie Rusak. Jamie has worked at the "Arena" for almost 40 years, and is a dedicated employee. Anyyone who knows her, knows what a caring, generous and great person she is. After contracting Covid-19, Jamie spent almost a month in the hospital. She was diagnosed with Covid Pneumonia and has blood clots in her lungs. Thankfully she pulled through and was released, but unfortunately she is dependent on oxygen. The doctors are not sure how long it will take Jamie's lungs to begin to heal and her breathing to improve until she is no longer dependent on oxygen.  If that wasn't bad enough, after two days of being at home, Jamie fell and cracked her hip. Her expected recovery from the fall is a minimum of 4-6 weeks, with extensive rehab.  Her ability to work again is questionable as she is currently using a walker and has an oxygen tank.

 

Jamie is a tough, proud, independent woman, who would never ask for help.  Jamie is not eligible to collect unemployment, receive any type of short/long term disability and has limited health care coverage. She is exploring other options to make ends meet, pay her medical bills and pay for the oxygen she is now dependent  on.

 

Many of Jamie's friends and co-workers have asked about her and how they could help. Please keep Jamie in your thoughts and prayers as she continues to fight to regain her health and strength.  Hopefully Jamie will return to “her booth” at the Arena soon.
