Help Jamie O'Neill Replace Stolen Truck

On the morning of July 12, our good friend and neighbor Jamie O’Neill discovered that his truck had been stolen. Jamie bought that 1997 Ford HD F-250 4X4 used 23 years ago. Jamie describes it as a “good truck..never left me stranded …til now.” It was his sole source of transportation – his lifeline. We have created this GoFundMe fundraiser for Jamie to help him purchase a reliable vehicle.

The Santa Fe Police officers who came to assess the situation and write the report were initially optimistic that they would be able to locate the truck because it is so distinctive. However, we have also been advised that the likelihood of recovering the truck would diminish significantly after a few days. It has been 11 days since the theft and there has been no progress in the search for Jamie’s truck.

Like many of us, Jamie is retired and living on a fixed income facing quickly-increasing costs for basic needs. The shock and stress resulting from the loss of his truck has been compounded by Jamie’s finite resources that limit his ability to acquire another vehicle. We can all agree that trying to function and conduct life’s essential business without a vehicle in Santa Fe is virtually impossible.

Our aim is to raise as much as we can towards our goal of $10,000.00 for Jamie to purchase a reliable means of transportation. Your help with donations of any amount to help Jamie overcome this life-changing loss will be very much appreciated.

In the meantime, if anyone reading this has a vehicle that could be an option for Jamie to purchase, please let us know through the comments section here. Jamie is interested in finding a vehicle that can easily fit into his garage and has enough room for his long legs. He is not leaning towards getting another truck.
