Help Jamie Moriarty win the fight

Hi, my name is Peter Donohue, and I’m organising a fundraiser on behalf of Jamie Moriarty to help support his medical expenses and provide financial relief for him and his family.

Jamie is a devoted husband and father of two – James (7) and Alice (2). He works in the pharmaceutical industry and, like many self-employed parents, has always worked hard to provide for his family.

At the end of June, Jamie was admitted to hospital with severe abdominal pain. Following an ultrasound and CT scan, he received the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with high-grade Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma – an aggressive form of cancer requiring immediate treatment. He is currently undergoing both immunotherapy and chemotherapy in Cork.

This diagnosis has turned life upside down for Jamie and his family. The financial burden that comes with treatment, travel, and time away from work is immense. Our goal is to raise funds to ease this pressure, allowing Jamie to focus fully on his fight, while giving his family the stability and support they need during this incredibly difficult time.

As part of the fundraiser, I will be taking on the 4x4x48 Challenge – walking 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours while carrying a 30kg weighted vest. This challenge begins on Friday, 3rd October at 8am.
