I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my husband, Jamie, who has been courageously battling tongue cancer. Over the past year, he has endured chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a major surgery (hemiglossectomy) to remove a large part of his tongue and the cancerous tumor. His strength and resilience throughout this journey have been nothing short of inspiring.

While we are grateful that the treatment was successful, the battle is not over. Tongue cancer—especially when aggressive—carries a high risk of returning. His oncologist has strongly recommended PET scans every 3 months to closely monitor for any recurrence, as early detection can make all the difference in survival and treatment options.

Unfortunately, our insurance company is denying coverage for these crucial PET scans, despite the medical necessity. Each scan costs approximately 3,500 dollars, and with the frequency recommended, the expenses quickly add up.

We are asking for help to cover these ongoing medical expenses so that Jamie can receive the monitoring he desperately needs. Your generosity will directly fund his surveillance scans, giving us peace of mind and the best possible chance to stay ahead of this disease.
